Christine is one of the founders of Arthouse. The idea emerged as a vehicle to show her own work. Now embarking on it's seventh installment, this is the first time she has actually exhibited at an Arthouse."This collection of photos is my photo journalistic exploration of fantasy versus reality. How are we defined in this world? What roles are we expected to play? My subjects have shaken free of all expectations placed on them. In my eye, they are brave enough to explore and pursue what makes them happy and content. My subjects have challenged me to look inward and reach a deeper level of my artistic self; thus giving my photography a strong voice. These are portraits of honesty and courageousness. This body of work was shot digitally with my Nikon D-100. However, none of them have been altered. All images are C-prints on archival paper. Each is framed in an ornate picture frame, which has been selected because of its metaphoric representation of my subjects and their glamorous personalities."
