Elizabeth Alexander is a sculpture graduate of Massachusetts College of Art. She has also studied at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland, the Pont-Aven School of Contemporary Art in France, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Her career has stretched across building a replica of a medieval French crane for National Geographic, to teaching children, farming, painting murals, and assisting a number of artists from all over the world including Terry Smith, Dan Clayman, Brower Hatcher, Valerie Bunnell, and the Hakkaido Snow Festival Team of Japan. She has also participated in a residency at the Vermont Studio Center in May 2005, curetted the 1st show at Glasgow’s Britannia Panopticon Music Hal in 65 years, placed 1st in the Copley Society’s 2004 student member’s exhibition, been selected for New Glass Review 2005, and exhibited in group shows internationally in venues ranging from Galley Al in South Korea to the Isabella Stuart Gardener Museum in Boston. She continues to work in her studio in Providence, Rhode Island while she develops her new series “Soil Makers” for her MFA application portfolio.
